Cruzeiro midfielder Nilton has been linked with a move to Italian giants Internazionale and his agent has revealed that it is more than just speculation now.
Football Italia reported the news recently and they quoted Wagner Ribeiro, who was speaking to Calcio News.
On his 26-year-old client, Ribeiro said: “It’s true, there’s been interest from Inter.
“But so far there has been nothing official. They are dealing with Cruzeiro and we expect something more concrete soon.”
The defensive midfielder has been in good form over the past few seasons and was an integral part of the Raposa side that was victorious in the Brazilian Serie A.
It would presumably be expected if Nilton was to join Nerazzurri that it would be in the summer but Cruzeiro could try to arrange a deal that would see the 26-year-old move in December.
That way Nilton could try to help his current side retain their league title, however until a concrete offer is entered by Inter his future will remain up in the air.
