Tottenham midfielder Sandro’s chances of competing at this summer’s World Cup appeared slim before the weekend, but photos of national team boss Luiz Felipe Scolari meeting squad members in London with the 25 year-old not in attendance have furthered the notion.

Scolari met up with Chelsea foursome Oscar, David Luiz, Ramires and Willian, as well as Spurs’ Paulinho to touch base as he was in the country; the fact that Sandro either wasn’t invited or didn’t go suggests that the manager had national business to address and thus wanted to spaek with those that have secured a place in Brazil’s final 23.

Sandro has won 17 caps for his country, scoring one goal in the process, and has featured under Scolari. The tough tackling midfielder has also represented Brazil at the 2012 Olympic Games, scoring two goals in the tournament.
