Internazionale owner Erick Thohir refuses to confirm links with Cruzeiro midfielder Nilton
Internazionale owner Erick Thohir has admitted that he is looking to sign a midfielder, but refused to confirm negotiations for Cruzeiro’s Nilton.
With veteran Esteban Cambiasso expected to move to Major League Soccer next season, Inter are likely to be in the market for a replacement.
Manchester City’s Javi Garcia and Chelsea holder John Obi Mikel have been linked, as well as Nilton, but Thohir wouldn’t be drawn on naming targets.
“We need a midfielder for next season, that is true, but we haven’t done anything yet and I will only name names after they have signed,” he said, as reported by Football Italia.
Nilton joined Cruzeiro from Vasco da Gama in 2013 and was an instrumental part of the squad that won last season's Brasileirão.
