Internazionale are targeting Brazilian Nilton from Cruzeiro in the summer, Football Italia have reported.

They believe that reports in the Brazilian media suggest that the 26-year-old could move to the San Siro this summer and Nilton’s agent has been quoted on the subject of his client moving to Europe.

Wagner Ribeiro was quoted by Football Italia, he said: “Nilton is on the radar of the top European clubs.

“Which is normal considering he won the Brazilian League and was voted one of the best players of last season.

“There is interest, but no club has come forward with a proposal yet, especially because the Brazilian transfer window is closed.

“I have had meetings with all the top European clubs and always sponsor Nilton as one of the best players in Brazil.”

It is believed that Nilton has a €5.5 million buy-out clause in his contract and the likes of Valencia, Roma, AC Milan and Lille are all chasing his signature.

The Cruzeiro midfielder is yet to represent his country at senior level but his chances could improve should he move to a big European club and start impressing across the globe.

However, for the time being it remains pure speculation and Nilton will be solely focused on helping Raposa achieve more success in 2014.
