Atletico Mineiro could be without the services of striker Diego Tardelli for the first leg of their Mineiro state championship final against Cruzeiro on Sunday after the player complained of cramps in his legs during their last game in the Copa Libertadores against Santa Fe.

Tardelli, who has won five caps for Brazil, is seen as an important player for Mineiro as they come up against national champions Cruzeiro for the right to be called the best regional team. Sunday’s game will kick off at 8p.m. local time at the Estadio Raimundo Sampaio.

Tadelli joined the club in 2013 and helped them win last season’s Libertadores alongside other key squad members such as Ronaldinho and Jo.
