Rodrigo Taddei was delighted to net in Roma’s 4-2 win against Parma and believes he still has something to offer at the age of 34.

The Brazilian midfielder, who has come back into favour in recent weeks, also praised head coach Rudi Garcia for utilising his talents effectively.

“It was a wonderful sensation to score in front of the fans who supported me throughout all these years. It was the height of joy to celebrate along with them,” Taddei told Sky Sport Italia.

“It was important for me to go there and enjoy it with the fans. I think that at the age of 34 I have nothing left to prove to anyone.

“The Coach was able to know me as a player and as a man, whereas he didn’t know me before. He allowed me to prove to myself that I still want to play and have fun. I was lucky as well today and rewarded with a goal.”
