Andrés Iniesta praises Barcelona team mate Neymar after Brazilians equaliser
Neymar’s goal on Tuesday night was decisive in securing Barcelona a draw in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Atlético Madrid.
The 1-1 draw at the Camp Nou wasn’t the best result for the Catalans, though, however after weeks of criticism Neymar was able to respond with a pivatol goal.
Although the 22-year-old disappointed for most of the match, except from when he switched wings during the latter stages of the game, his goal is sure to give him great confidence.
The creator of Neymar’s equaliser, Andrés Iniesta, was also quick to lavish praise on the youngster too.
Iniesta played an exquisite pass to split the Atlético defence and allow the former Santos attacker to bend into the bottom corner.
And when the Spanish midfielder spoke after the game to Goal.com, he was full of praise for Neymar.
“As far as our goal is concerned, Neymar has that talent, that quality,” Iniesta stated.
“With just one moment, one move, he can turn the game and the result.
“We are delighted with his goal and now we have to ensure that it becomes significant in turning the tie our way.”
