Elias will go to Corinthians or Flamengo this eveningElias won the Copa do Brasil with Flamengo last term
Clubs in Brazil will have until the close of play today to bring in players from outside of the country and Sporting Lisbon midfielder Elias is still in limbo regarding his next footballing whereabouts.
As reported on Sambafoot yesterday, the player is thought to be in negotiations to rejoin Corinthians, the club at which he played between 2008 and 2010.
However, Flamengo, where he spent 2013 on loan, are thought to have entered the race to bring in the 13 times capped Elias.
According to goal.com, the 28 year-old does not have a preference over where he plays and is solely committed to living and working back in his homeland. As a result of his will to leave, Elias has been forced to train at Sporting with the club's 'B' and youth squads.
