The Brazilian-born forward was substituted after picking up a knock in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Athletic Bilbao.
Spain forward Diego Costa was unable to complete training on Monday ahead of Atlético Madrid’s Champions League quarter-final first leg against Barcelona this evening.
AS has reported that although the 25-year-old has a slight injury and is less than fully fit, the problem is unlikely to keep him out of the clash at the Nou Camp.
Coach Diego Simeone, however, thinks that Diego Costa faces a race against time to be fit enough.
“Having seen him at training I think it is going to be difficult for him to make it, but we will wait as there’s still a long while to go yet,” he told TVE.
