Atlético Mineiro defender Rever is not interested in a move to Lazio, insists his agent Fabian Mello.
The 29 year-old, who has been capped eight times by Brazil, is believed to be a target for the Italian side, who have struggled defensively this term.
Mello admits that Rever could be tempted by an enticing proposal, but his main focus is on being selected for the World Cup and retaining the Copa Libertadores.
“Lazio have shown interest in Rever since he played at Grêmio," he said, as reported by Shanghai Daily. “At that time we received an official offer but the deal didn"t go head. We are getting close to the period where rumours are made and this type of news is normal.
“Today Rever doesn"t have any interest in going to Europe because he is focused on the Copa Libertadores."
"He wants to be champion for the second consecutive year and dreams about playing for Brazil at the World Cup."
“If there is a proposal from an interesting country, there could be a possibility [of leaving] but until now that hasn"t happened."
