Santos manager Oswaldo de Oliveira insists that his side will not be underestimating Penapolense this weekend and that they’ll treat them with the same respect they would São Paulo.

Penapolense and Santos face each other on Sunday in the semi-final’s of the Campeonato Paulista and de Oliveira is weary of the threat that the Penápolis based team.

The Santos manager spoke to Lancenet, he said: “We respect Penapolense like we would respesct São Paulo if we faced them. It is an adversary that faces us in the semi-final match because of course people cast their minds back to the last game.”

Santos were beaten 4-1 in the previous meeting, Peixe’s only different in 2014, and de Oliveira has been discussing Penapolense’s victory on penalties over São Paulo earlier this week.

He added: “We know what happened to São Paulo and our concern is with this opponent and what we need to do to win this match.

“They had chances to decide the São Paulo match before the penalties and this is against a São Paulo team with great players.”
