CSKA Moscow refuse to loan Vitinho to Botafogo
The Russian club have said that Vitinho will only leave the Russian capital if he is bought by another club and have slapped an $8m price tag on the 20-year-old.
According to a source at Botafogo, the Russian club was contacted to see if it would be possible to take the youngster back to General Sereviano on loan.
The Alvinegro are currently searching for a pacey attacking player. Of their current squad, only Wallyson boasts this characteristic.
The news that CSKA will not loan Vitinho back to Botafogo will come as a major disappointment to the Rio de Janeiro club as it continues to experience a fragile economic situation.
Despite showing great promise, Vitinho is yet to shine in Russian football. In 14 games he is still yet to score and his last start came as far back as October.
Since then he has made a handful appearances from the bench and often remains an unused substitute.
