The semi final, to be played on Sunday, will see Palm face Ituano, who beat Botafogo on penalties following a goalless draw. The winners of that gane will then play the victors of the other semi final between Santos and the conquerors of Sao Paulo, Penapolense.

Kareced now has nine goals in the tournament, the same as Sao Paulo’s Luis Fabiano at the top of the scoring charts.
