Highly rated Brazil national team defender Dedé is being tracked by lots of Italian clubs according to his agent.

The Cruzeiro defender only moved to his current club last year from Vasco da Gama but his impressive form has seen him linked numerous clubs.

His agent Giuliano Aranda told tuttomercatoweb that AC Milan is an option for the 25-year-old.

Aranda said: “At the moment Dedé is happy at Cruzeiro, where he has the chance to prove himself in the Copa Libertadores and earn a place in the World Cup squad.

“I did read the reports. It’s true Dedé is liked by Milan, but also tracked by other Italian clubs. The Rossoneri are a great side, despite their recent difficulties.

“I can confirm there has been no direct contact with Milan or other Serie A clubs. I haven’t spoken to anybody, even if the interest in Dedé remains.”

Dedé’s agent then went on to discuss if his client could move to Europe this summer and if it was the defender’s long term ambition.

Football Italia quoted Aranda, he added: “Could he come to Europe over the summer? At the moment he is focused on doing well with Cruzeiro, but I won’t rule anything out.

“Playing in Europe and Italy in the future is one of his objectives. We’ll see how the situation develops over the next few weeks, as I think between April and May we’ll have a clearer idea of any summer transfer activity.”
