Valencia goalkeeper Diego Alves has been ruled out of Los Che’s Europa League quarter-final against Basel with a hamstring injury.
The 28 year-old was replaced after 21 minutes of Sunday’s 2-1 win at home to Villarreal and is expected be unavailable for up to five weeks.
Vicente Guaita, who came on for Alves, is expected to deputise for both legs against Basel, with the Brazilian hoping to return for a potential semi-final clash at the end of April.
