Brazil assistant manager Carlos Alberto Parreira insists he is not worried by the lack of playing time David Luiz and Neymar have had at club level.

Luiz, in particular, has found himself increasingly marginalised at Chelsea, with manager José Mourinho using Gary Cahill and John Terry as his preferred centre-back pairing.

Neymar’s situation at Barcelona has not been as concerning, though he was an unused substitute for last weekend’s 7-0 win against Osasuna.

“They are being saved for us,” said Parreira, as reported by NDTV Sports. “It’s very tiring to have to play until the Champions League final. If a Champions League team that has Brazilian players gets knocked out of the tournament, I’m not going to be too upset.”
