Chelsea midfielder Oscar starred as his side demolished title rivals Arsenal 6-0 in the Premiership’s early kick off, as Arsene Wenger’s 1000th game in charge went horribly wrong.

A brace from the Brazilian contributed to the landslide scoreline and ensured the home side’s goal difference became comparable again to fellow title-chasers Manchester City and Liverpool.

Goals from Sami Eto’o, Andre Schurrle, Eden Hazard and Mohamad Slah completed the rout against ten-man Arsenal, but it was Oscar that got his name on the scoresheet twice. The 22 year-old Selecao star has now scored 11 goals this season for the Stamford Bridge club, and appears to have overcome doubts about his form as the business end of the season hots up.

As well as the Premiership race, Chelsea must face French oil beneficiaries PSG in the quarter finals of the Champions League next month.
