Antonio Araujo, the agent of Porto captain Fernando, insists his client is not interested in speculation linking him with a move elsewhere.
The Brazilian midfielder, who now qualifies to represent Portugal at international level, has been paired with a host of Europe’s biggest clubs, after another impressive campaign.
But with Porto in the quarter-finals of the Europa League and pushing for a top two finish domestically, Araujo maintains that producing his best on the pitch is also Fernando’s focused on.
“We are pleased with how Fernando has played this season,” he told TuttoMercatoWeb.
“He’s a great midfielder and is proving he can play at the highest level. Against Napoli he showed off his qualities and is focused on getting to the Europa League final.
“Right now, I’d rather not talk about the market. We are in a decisive moment in the season – so now is not the time for speculation.
“We will see what happens in the coming months, but it’s useless to talk about the market right now.”
