Sao Paulo head coach Muricy Ramalho has decided to give youth its chance for the club’s next fixture in the Paulista state championship with his charges having stormed to win their group stage of the regional tournament.

Tricolor will face Botafogo SP on Sunday and will almost certainly be without the likes of Luis Fabiano, the tournament’s top score with nine goals.

“For them it will be the game of the year, because they are still boys. Whenever I needed them, they were well and took advantage of the opportunities.”

“They have given the maximum in practice and it is important. This game will be important for them to feel more and gain experience.”

Sunday’s game will be Sao Paulo’s last in a league format until the Campeonato Brasileiro kicks off in April 20th; Tricolor face Botafogo of Rio de Janeiro on the opening weekend.
