Ronaldinho finally managed to break his 2014 goalscoring duck on Wednesday night but it was mixed fortunate for the Brazilian and his team Atlético Mineiro as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Nacional in the Copa Libertadores.

Galo came close to beating Nacional last week but conceded late on from the penalty spot to tie 2-2.

They would have been expecting to earn all three points in this Group 4 match prior to the game and things looked good early on when Atlético were awarded a penalty.

Ronaldinho stepped up but surprisingly his 12th minute spot kick was pushed wide and his wait for a goal this year extended.

It didn’t last for long though as six minutes later Atlético were given another chance to score from 12-yards-out and Ronaldinho made it second time lucky by finding the net.

The Paraguayan’s hit back though through midfielder Marcos Riveros’ sensational free kick. The 25-year-old curled superbly into the top corner to level the scores in the first half.

And level is how it would remain as neither side was able to find the required quality for a winner and it leaves Atlético and Nacional 1st and 2nd in the Group 4.
