Flamengo forward Hernane insists the Mengão are not afraid of the altitude and are targeting a win when they face Bolívar in the Copa Libertadores on Wednesday.

Jayme de Almeida Filho’s team are currently second in Group 7, two points adrift of leaders Emelec.

With León level on four points with Flamengo and Bolívar just two behind, Hernane admits they cannot afford to slip up, regardless of the testing conditions.

“I am going into this like it’s the match of my life,” he said, as reported by Shanghai Daily. “I think that at worst, we can accept a draw. But Flamengo will always try get three points.

“There is pressure due to the importance of the match, but there is no point worrying about the altitude. We have to be ready to overcome all difficulties.”
