The Brazilian midfield duo both starred in Tuesday night’s 2-0 Champions League over Turkish side Galatasaray after goals from Samuel Eto’o and Gary Cahill saw the Blues safely through to the next stage.

Speaking after the game, Ramires described the team’s performance as "impeccable".

"In the first game, we managed to get a good result away from home. Our performance here was impeccable; we did not give them a chance."

"Maybe we could have scored more goals, but we were able to keep control and secure a result that takes us through to the next round."

"It will not be easy in the quarter-finals but we know we have a strong team. We have everything it takes to get to the final, but we must stay focused," completed the 26-year-old.

Meanwhile, team-mate for both club and country, Oscar, felt that Chelsea were good value for their win.

"We played very well and deserve to be in the next round," said the 22-year-old.

"Samuel Eto"o thanked me for the pass for his goal. I always look for him in space, and he was able to find the net early on."

"We"re fighting for two titles and have an important game on Saturday [against Arsenal ]."
