Júlio César to make his Toronto FC debutThe 34-year-old will hope his form for Toronto secures him a starting berth with the Seleção
The Brazilian goalkeeper will face Seattle Sounders in the MLS.
There has been a surprisingly lack of fanfare in the build-up to the 35-year-old’s debut for his new club.
Even on Toronto FC’s official facebook page, Júlio César is not one of the five ‘models’ selected to represent the club.
Compatriot Gilberto is pictured alongside Jermaine Defore, Michael Bradley, Dwayne De Rosario and Jackson Goncalves.
The shot-stopper has enjoyed an impressive career thus far, having enjoyed lengthy spells at both Flamengo and Inter Milan.
He has made 78 appearances for the Brazilian national team and will hoping to add to these at this year’s World Cup.
