The Catalan giants lost 1-0 away to Real Valladolid in La Liga to seriously dent their title chances.
The current La Liga champions were beaten by a single goal in the 17th minute as midfielder Fausto Rossi fired home after the ball broke to him kindly in the penalty area.
The defeat leaves Barcelona in third place, four points behind leaders Real Madrid after Carlo Ancelotti’s men’s comfortable 3-10 win against Levante on Sunday evening.
On Monday morning, Spanish newspaper Marca heavily criticised the performance of Brazilian star Neymar who bore the brunt of their reporting as his performance against Valladolid received a score of just three out of 10.
