As the Brazilian championship comes to an end and the European transfer window opens, already the vultures of European teams circle.

This week Corinthians were forced to deny speculation they were negotiating a swap deal with Chelsea.

The players reportedly involved in the discussions was Corinthians superstar Carlos Tevez.

However, the Brazilian side have reiterated that Tevez will remain at the club at least until December, 2006.

Andres Sanchez, vice-president of Corinthians, decided to put an end to the rumours.

“Tevez’s transfer has a $100 million buy-out clause and I think that there isn’t a team in the world that would like to pay that.”

However were a European team to offer $20 Million+ then Corinthians maybe forced to rethink.

Another player who looks Europe bound in January is Cicinho (to Real Madrid). Real Madrid currently have the first refusual option on the international winger and now Ronaldo is a Spanish citizen have a free space for a non-Eu player.
