Manchester United target Dante to sign a new deal with Bayern Munich
Reports in Germany suggest that the Brazilian defender is close to extending his current deal with the Bundesliga champions.
The improved contract means that the defender will turn down a potential opportunity to join Manchester United having been courted by David Moyes in January.
“Bayern Munich are defensively strong and busy - the next one who is likely to extend his contract is Dante,” reported online German news outlet TZ.
"The Brazilian feels good in Munich and is aware of his merits in the quintuple success in 2013. He is happy with an increased contract and would like the details to be made clear."
The 30-year-old’s current deal at the Allianz Arena expires in 2016 and the player has denied using the interest from Manchester United as leverage for a new contract with his current club.
Dante has been a key figure in Pep Guardiola's side this season, making 21 Bundesliga appearances and five in the Champions League.
