There is till time for players to make a late charge and gain selection for Brazil’s World Cup squad, according to head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, although the boss has also warned that the vast majority of places have been decided upon.

Ahead of Wednesday’s friendly against South Africa in Johannesburg, Scolari gave some hope to those who are uncertain of being picked but made it clear that he has “95% of the Brazilian team” already set in stone in hos own mind.”

“Remember the 2002 World Cup, I had players who almost never played with me.”

“I have an almost closed group, I have to discern if someone appears different from everything I have and could add more to my team, I have to look at him.”
