The technical coordinator of the Brazil national team believes that the home crowd offer the inspiration the Seleção need to win their sixth world title later this year.

The 71-year-old was talking at a press conference in Johannesburg ahead of Brazil’s friendly against South Africa this week.

“We are playing at home with confidence and, with the players we have, we are really thinking about winning it.”

“We have experience and we will have the Brazilian people behind, just us as they were in the Confederations Cup – they created a really wonderful mood, something which I have never seen in Brazil before.”

“After 1950, when we did not win the World Cup at home, we have a second opportunity and we do not want to miss it.”
