Ronaldinho and Atlético Mineiro will be boosting their fan base in China during the summer as they have announced that Galo will be playing matches against three Chinese Super League sides.

Wide East Football reported the news and believe that Atlético are in conjunction with Chinese sports network Hupu over the friendly fixtures.

The fact that Ronaldinho will be returning to the Far East, where he won the 2002 World Cup winner, should generate a huge amount of interest for these friendly matches.

The games will be played between 19th and 29th June and Atlético could come up against a familiar face. They played Gauangzhou Evergrande during the 2013 Club World Cup in Morocco.

The network Hapu have been involved in deals like this previously that have seen Paul Scholes and Michael Owen play futsal matches in China.

This tour of China should be successful for all parties involved although it will take place during the World Cup.
