Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has praised and criticised Lucas Moura in equal measure following his showing against Marseille on Sunday evening.

Moura nearly score a sensational goal as he burst past six players with an accerlerating dribble before during the second half but was denied as his shot was cleared off the line.

Whilst Blanc accepted it would have been an unforgettable goal, he believes the Brazilian must add more goals to his game.

Goal.com quoted the PSG coach, he said: “It would’ve been a goal we would’ve talked about for a long time.

“But he did not score, even if he played a good game. Lucas must understand that an attacker must score goals.

“He is still young but he is at a big club and he must progress quickly.”

Although Blanc criticised Moura’s lack of goals, he has only scored three in 25 Ligue 1 appearances this year, he did praise the Brazil internationals mentality.

He was always pleased with the work-rate of the 21-year-old; something so often lazily branded as a negative from Brazilian’s.

Blanc added: “He is a wonderful player; very hard-working and professional. He has the correct mindset.”
