Bayern Munich’s Rafinha talks about Corinthians offer
Following Rafinha’s call up to the Brazil squad, the Bayern Munich defender has been talking about a proposal he received from Corinthians.
After spending the majority of the 2012/13 season on the fringes of the Bayern first team the full back was linked with a move back to Brazil, these rumours proved to be true as the 28-year-old has talked about them publically.
In an interview with UOL Copa do Mundo Rafinha discussed the offer, he said: “I actually had the proposal but unfortunately we did not reach an agreement.
“Bayern made me an irrefutable offer to become a starter. I’m right here in Munich. I made the decision and I am happy.”
When pressed on the issue of Corinthians and whether he would have made the Brazil squad earlier because of the exposure you receive playing in your home country Rafinha rejected those claims.
“You can not think so. I know that the club went through difficult times but I think if I had gone to Corinthians I would be earning,” The Bayern Munich player laughed before he could inevitably say less.
He concluded: “I made the decision (to stay at Bayern) and how things have happened belongs to God.”
