Cruzeiro's Dede linked with Real Madrid switch
Cruzeiro and Brazil centre back Dede has been linked with a move to Europe after impressing for the Copa Libertadores team in the past twelve months. With Real Madrid seemingly looking to strengthen an area in which ageing Portuguese Pepe plays, esporte.com have highlighted 25 year-old Dede as a possible replacement.
Signed by Cruzeiro in April of last year for a fee in the region of £4million, Dede has also been looked at by Manchester United but Esporte quote Spanish media as saying that the Brazilian is the "new playmaker that the Merangues (Real) want to reinforce their defence. "
With nine caps to his name already, Dede is thought to be in a healthy position to make Brazil's World Cup final 23. He has already in his career won one Campeonato Brasileiro and one Copa do Brasil.
