Bayer Leverkusen sign Grêmio’s Wendell
The player’s agent has announced via his Twitter feed that his client will move to Germany following the Copa Libertadores final.
Wendell’s agent Gian Petruzzielio has confirmed that the player is Germany-bound despite the denials of current club Grêmio.
On Wednesday the club’s executive director, Rui Costa, admitted that negotiations were taking place but refused to confirm that a deal had been signed.
Since arriving at the club last year, the left-back has played 17 times.
It is thought that the German outfit will pay in the region of £5.5m for the player, of which 65% will stay with Grêmio and 35% will go to his previous club Londrina.
