Muricy Ramalho to take charge of 400th Sao Paulo match
Sao Paulo head coach Muricy Ramalho will take charge of the club for the 400th time when they play XV de Piracicaba in the Paulista state championship on Wednesday evening.
Sao Paulo have been talked up by some pundits as being potential dark horses for this season's Brazilian Campeonato and in terms of having a settled manager at the helm, the club could not be better served.
Muricy is in his third spell at Tricolor after taking the helm for 108 games between 1994 and 1997 and then again for over 250 games between 2006 and 2009. During his time at Sao Paulo, Muricy has overseen three consecutive national titles (2006-2008) and done so with a win percentage of over 50.
His relatively glamorous squad contains the attacking triumvirate of Luis Fabiano, Paulo Hnrique Ganso and Alexandre Pato, who has recently signed on loan from Corinthians.
