Phenomonen Ronaldo: 'Neymar could be big star at 2014 World Cup'
Ronaldo has been talking about various topics and predictably the subject turned to the World Cup and the latest 'phenomenon' out of Brazil, Neymar.
The Brazilian Neymar was speaking on former coach Luis Fernandez's show on Radio Montecarlo’s ‘Luis Attaque!’ with his extracts published by AS.com.
The conversation turned to Barcelona's Neymar and 'phenomenon' believes he is the best player the Seleção have.
His performances in the 2013 Confederations Cup, which Brazil won, highlighted that.
“After the Confederations Cup, I’m feeling more optimistic about Brazil," admitted Ronaldo.
"We have a young team who have shown they have quality.
"Neymar will be the best Brazil player at the World Cup; he has already demonstrated his qualities.
Ronaldo insists that although Neymar is happy playing second fidle to Lionel Messi at Barça, he'll be the main man for Brazil this summer.
The former Barcelona striker believes his countryman could be the 'big star' of 2014.
He said: "At the minute, he comes across as Messi’s helper at Barça but he’s our brightest hope for the future.
"If Brazil manage to reach the final with Neymar showing what he can do, he could be the big star at Brazil 2014."
