With just a few months to go until this year’s World Cup, the FIFA Quality Programme is busily installing the technology across the 12 venues.

The installation and testing of a goal-line technology system will be the main task between now and the beginning of the tournament.

An initial visit of the stadiums took place in January and selected provider GoalControl is now installing the systems in most of the stadiums.

A FIFA-accredited test institute will then carry out tests to ensure that they reach the level required by the laws of the game.

The 2014 World Cup will be the first of its kind to offer match officials support through goal-line technology.
