Chelsea head coach Jose Mourinho has been discussing the form of Oscar with the gathered press and admitted that his Brazilian maestro has yet to live up to the high levels of performance displayed in the first half of the season.

In interviews with the English media ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League encounter with Everton, Mourinho said of his South American: “Maybe in recent games he has not been the same but earlier in the season he was our best player.”

“Oscar made the difference in the first three or four months of the season. He has not been scoring goals recently but he is not playing poorly.”

“It’s not a problem because the talent is there, but the physical condition to put it into practice might not be.”

22 year-old Oscar has been at Stamford Bridge since 2012 and has amassed 28 caps for his country after a debut the year before.
