Brazilian Sports Minister thinks that Alan Kardec should be called-up to the Brazil squadAlan Kardec previously played for Benfica
Rather than focussing on the current drama surrounding Brazil’s preparations to host this year’s World Cup, Sports Minister Aldo Rebelo has waded in with his opinion about who should be called-up to the latest national squad.
The Palmeirense believes that striker Alan Kardec should be given a chance in the game against South Africa in Johannesburg on March 5.
“He’s playing and is improving, he’s technical and he’s versatile. He had a perfect game against São Paulo, marking their left-back, he neutralised their threat. Against Corinthians he scored a goal when playing as a classic centre-forward. Felipão will decide wisely,” said Rebelo.
Having already revealed the European-based players in his squad, coach Luiz Felipe Scolari will on Monday name the Brazilian-based players that complete his list.
The friendly will be the final game before the coach names his final World Cup squad.
