Curitiba’s mayor confirms that the city will remain in the World CupHow the stadium is meant to look once complete
On Tuesday, the Brazilian city of Curitiba was confirmed as a host venue for the World Cup.
Shortly before 15:00, FIFA Secretary General Jêrome Valcke called the Mayor of Curitiba, Gustavo Fruet, to confirm that the city is to remain part of FIFA’s plans.
Valcke congratulated the mayor for the improvements made in the development of the stadium which is now said to be 90% complete.
The decision will be officially announced imminently.
