Tottenham Hotspur favourite Sandro is back on the recovery trail after appearing in an under-21 match this afternoon.

The Brazilian featured for Spurs’ development side but was unable to prevent them from losing 5-2 to Bolton Wanderers.

He played for 51 minutes and departed the field with his side 2-0 up, unfortunatly Tottenham had a man sent off and conceded five goals in the final 23 minutes.

The return of Sandro was however one of the most important elements of the fixture.

He will now hope he has shown Spurs manager Tim Sherwood that he is fit enough to feature in Thursday’s Europa League match against Dnipro.

It is predicted by British radio station talkSPORT that he will travel to Ukraine with the squad picked by Sherwood.

The Brazilian has suffered some serious injury problems over the past few seasons but will hope he is finally over them now.

With the World Cup in his home country fast approaching Sandro will hope to prove his fitness to Seleção coach Luiz Felipe Scolari’, who it is believed remains a fan of the 24-year-old.
