Brazilian striker Brandao managed to break the hearts of former employers Marseille after scoring a last-gasp equaliser for St. Etienne in their Ligue 1 fixture last night.
The 33 year-old, who played for Marseille between 2009 and 2012, secured the home side a point, which keeps them two ahead of their opponents after 25 rounds of fixtures in the French top flight.
Brandao enjoyed a successful couple of years in the South of France with Marseille, winning a league title in 2010. During his spell at Ukranian side Shakhtar Donetsk, he won three Premier Leagues and the same number of cup competitions.
A former Cruzeiro and Gremio loanee, he never managed to earn a Brazil call up and time appears to have run out for Brandao in terms of international recognition.
