Desportivo Brasil youngster Douglas has labelled his recent spell training with Manchester United as a "great experience."

The 16 year-old has been offered the chance to train with United across three different trials, due to the club’s link up with Desportivo Brasil.

Douglas, a central defender, has just completed the second of those trials and admits he is more relaxed this time around.

I felt more comfortable," he told Sport Witness. "I was more accustomed, and the communication in English was easier this time. I liked a lot. I trained with the U-21 [reserves] team, who are older than me. It was a great experience. I was very well received, so it was really easy.

"I had contact with everyone during the training and during the meals. They are wonderful people, and they like us more when they know we’re Brazilian. I talked more with [Patrice] Evra, Rafael, and [Rio] Ferdinand, a very nice guy."
