Atlético Madrid have offered Diego Costa to Chelsea as part of a deal to secure goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, according to reports.
The Daily Star claims Atlético are willing to let the Brazilian-born forward if Courtois, who is in his third season on loan at the club, is included in the transfer.
Chelsea are believed to have targeted Costa as their main summer signing. The 25 year-old has a £32 million release clause in his contract and any bid that matches that will leave Atlético powerless in their attempts to keep him.
With Chelsea expected to propose terms in the coming weeks, the Spanish side have looked to act first, in the hope that they can at least retain Courtois, even if Costa departs.
