Atlético Paranaense sign the forgotten AdrianoThe 31-year-old has struggled with injuries and fitness throughout his career
On Tuesday, Atlético-PR confirmed through their official Twitter account the signing of striker Adriano.
The former Inter Milan talisman has been training with the Curitiba club since December in an attempt to return to fitness.
Much slimmer now, the 31-year-old will sign for the club on a contract rumoured to be worth about £25,000 a month.
Adriano could feature in the club’s Copa Libertadores campaign which begins on Thursday with a clash against The Strongest of Bolivia.
The former Flamengo star hasn’t enjoyed a run of games since 2010 and last made an appearance in an official match in March of 2012 when he turned out for Corinthians.
