Both FIFA and the Serbian Football Federation have confirmed that the eastern Europeans will play against the Seleção on June 4 at a venue and time yet to be decided.

“We’ve reached an agreement with the Brazilian football confederation to play a friendly on June 4 in São Paulo or Rio. The hosts will use this game to prepare themselves for the World Cup,” said the president of the Serbian football federation, Tomislav Karadzic.

Contrary to the what Karadzic said, by the date of the friendly the two World Cup stadiums in the cities mentioned will have already been handed over to FIFA, mking them unavailable for use in friendlies. With the Engenhão out of action, the only remaining option would be São Paulo’s Morumbi stadium.
