Liverpool talisman Luis Suarez has spoken of his belief that Philippe Coutinho deserves a chance to show what he can do for Brazil at the World Cup after a string of highly impressive performances for the Merseyside club.
In an interview with the Liverpool Echo, Uruguayan striker Suarez said: ” When Coutinho is right, he is the difference that makes Liverpool.”
“He is a very great player and he is showing that he has the quality to play for both Liverpool and in the national team. I’m proud to be playing with him.”
Coutinho hasn’t been in favour with Luiz Felipe Scolari yet, having made his solitary appearance for Brazil in 2010, but he is expected to be named in the squad for March’s friendly against South Africa tomorrow.
