Atletico Mineiro’s Jesus Datolo has shrugged off the uncertainty surrounding his best position for the Copa Libertadores holders and said that he will play where he is told as long as it helps his team.

The Argentine, signed from Internacional in 2013, has been lined up for a role out wide on the left and doesn’t appear bothered by the prospect: “The boss picks the team and if he puts me out wide, I’ll try to do my best,” Datolo told lancenet.com.

“Everyone knows that’s not my position but I want to play. I strive every minute on the field to keep myself in the team.”

Datolo went on to mention that he performed a similar role at times when he played with Boca Juniors in his homeland and they seemed to do alright when he was there- Boca won the Libertadores themselves in 2007.
