Jorginho “not demoralised” by being left out of Napoli’s UEFA Europa League squad insists agent Joao Santos
Jorginho is “not demoralised” by being left out of Napoli’s UEFA Europa League squad insists the player’s agent Joao Santos.
The 22 year-old, who was born in Brazil but is expected to represent Italy at international level, was surprisingly omitted by Head Coach Rafael Benítez from his 24-man roster.
Despite the obvious disappointment, Santos maintains that his client remains full focused on contributing in Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
“The boy’s not demoralised by the news,” he told TuttoMercatoWeb.
“We heard the news this afternoon, but the lad is only focused on the match with Roma on Wednesday.
“Benítez is a top Coach, and if he’s made this decision it is because he thinks he has enough options in midfield.
“Jorginho arrived at Napoli to do his best, and if that’s in the League and the Coppa Italia, then so be it.”
Jorginho joined Napoli from Hellas Verona last month. He has made two appearances for the Partenopei so far.
