Diego marked his second homecoming for Atlético Madrid with a goal as they moved to the top of La Liga in another profitable week for Brazilians all over Europe.

Germany: Roberto Firmino in the goals again

The Brazilian played a pivotal role in Hoffenheim’s 3-0 victory over relegation rivals Hamburg. Firmino opened the scoring in the 4th minute before assisting the third. It was is ninth goal of the league season.

Felipe Santana also opened the scoring in his side’s 2-1 victory over Wolfsburg whilst another Brazilian defender scored in Bundesliga. Dante scored the 4th goal in Bayern’s 5-0 rout over Eintracht Frankfurt.

England: Paulinho strikes on comeback

After being out injured since December, Paulinho marked his return to the Tottenham Hotspur team with the equaliser against Hull City to earn Spurs a point.

Spain: Diego back with a bang

Diego joined Atlético Madrid on loan in the final day of the January transfer window and scored on his return as Los Colchoneros moved to the top of La Liga for the first time since 1996.

After entering the Vicente Calderón Stadium in the second half, he scored the final goal in the 4-0 victory.

France: Alex and Lucas shine for PSG
