Santos has ruled out bringing Queens Park Rangers keeper Júlio César to the club on a loan deal.

The Brazil number one has been searching for a move away from the English side since they were relegated from the Premier League in May last year.

He was expected to leave in the summer transfer window but a move away from West London failed to materialize and the same occurred in the January transfer window.

Brazilian paper Lance believe QPR offered Júlio César to Santos but the Peixe rejected the deal.

Santos manager Oswaldo de Oliveira told reporters that Aranha is firmly his number one keeper.

Júlio César spoke with Santos officials but he was apparently demanding $300,000 per month so talks were halted.

The loan market opens in England soon and it is predicted that the Brazil keeper will depart QPR on a short-term loan.

The goalkeeper has been warned by Brazil national team manager Luiz Felipe Scolari that he needs to be playing regularly and will look to achieve that somewhere else soon.

Unfortunately for him it won’t be in Brazil with Santos.
